ForgeFinder Announces Change of Ownership
ForgeFinder.com, Inc., the first and only e-commerce marketplace dedicated to the forged metals industry, today announced that Kyle E. Gillman, the company’s chief executive officer, has acquired the Company’s assets and liabilities through a new Virginia corporation now operating as ForgeFinder, Inc.
In announcing the transaction, Mr. Gillman said, "Since its inception, ForgeFinder has steadily expanded its influence throughout the global forging industry. For ForgeFinder to take the next step, we needed to rededicate ourselves to the business of forged metal sales and refocus our efforts on understanding the nuances of e-procurement as they relate to our industry. To achieve these objectives, I needed a free hand to restructure the company’s management in order to re-emphasize the sales and customer support aspects of our business."
Mr. Gillman also noted that ForgeFinder, Inc.’s most immediate need is to hire a new National Sales Manager with deep experience in closed die forgings. "We have had a difficult time finding the person with the right skill set to be our National Sales Manager. We are determined to hire an individual with an outstanding working knowledge of forged metals combined with an e-procurement background and a proven track record of motivating an industrial sales force."
During the next six months, ForgeFinder will launch three initiatives designed to enhance customer service and increase transactional traffic on the ForgeFinder site:
- Recruit and train a complete national and international sales force to supplement the independent sales representatives already under contract to the firm;
- Launch a forging buyer and seller incentive program that rewards the most frequent users of the ForgeFinder site, on both sides of the buy-sell equation;
and
- Engage in joint ventures or create partnerships with other business-to-business exchanges.
The new company, ForgeFinder, Inc. will continue to maintain its headquarters in Manassas, Virginia and its European headquarters in Munich at the Siemens Center for e-Excellence.
